Q: Do I need a Non-Availability letter to stay at Edge?
A: No. Our nightly rates match on-base lodging, so your stay is covered either way. If you receive a Non-A, you’ll be reimbursed up to the full locality per diem rate. If you don’t, reimbursement is capped at the on-base lodging rate, and our rates are set to match it. In both cases, your voucher covers your stay.
Q: How do I book if I don’t have my Non-A or my exact dates yet?
A: Reserve your unit now and confirm the details later. We’ll hold your reservation while your orders and lodging status get sorted out, and you can finalize your dates once DTS gives you an answer. There’s no penalty if things change before you arrive.
Q: What happens if my orders change or my class dates slip?
A: We adjust your reservation at no penalty. Washbacks, date changes, and early graduations are a normal part of the training pipeline, and we’ve built our booking policy around that reality. If your orders change, contact us and we’ll update your dates or release your reservation.
Q: Will my reimbursement actually cover my stay?
A: Yes. Taxes and fees are always included in your nightly rate, so your total never exceeds your lodging per diem. You’ll receive a clean, itemized receipt that’s ready to attach to your travel voucher in DTS. No surprises, and no back-and-forth with finance.
Q: Where is The Edge at Randolph located?
A: The Edge at Randolph is located in Universal City, Texas, 2.5 blocks from Randolph Air Force Base and less than 15 miles from other Joint Base San Antonio facilities, including Fort Sam Houston and U.S. Army Medical Center of Excellence, providing unparalleled convenience for military personnel on temporary duty and training assignments. 333 W. Q: What type of housing does The Edge at Randolph offer?
A: We offer fully furnished, private rooms with private bathrooms. There are 10 units, capable of lodging 34 occupants, designed specifically for those traveling on temporary duty at Randolph Air Force Base, along with government and business travelers needing short-term rentals with the comforts of home. We have unique flexibility for group stays.  View our floor plans. 
Q: What is the stay limit at the property?
A: The Edge at Randolph offers flexible stay lengths with typical stays between 1 to 12 months, catering to various military, government, and corporate assignments. There is no defined stay limit and our team will work with you to meet your short-term rental needs.
Q: What amenities are included?
A: All units feature full-sized washers and dryers, over-sized walk-in closets, two-car direct access garages, smart home automation systems, stainless steel ceiling fans, USB ports in all rooms, modern appliances, patios or private yards, and more.
Q: Is there a space to socialize and relax?
A: Yes, we have large yards both enclosed, and in the front of our community, perfect for connecting with friends and unwinding after a day of training. Q: Are there additional services provided?
A: Yes, we include lawn care, ensuring a pristine living environment without the hassle of chores. 
Q: What kind of internet access is provided?
A: High-speed internet/secured Wi-Fi is included in every unit.
Q: Are the units fully stocked with kitchen and bath supplies?
A: Yes, our units are turnkey, and fully stocked. They include everything from pots and pans in the kitchen, to towels and toiletries in the bathroom.
Q: Are there any hidden costs or fees?
A: No, we believe in transparent pricing. There are zero commissions, cleaning fees, or hidden costs. We do charge a $350 Pet Deposit which covers the extra cleaning necessary after pet stays. Please Contact us for any additional information.
Q: Will your rates fit within my TDY per diem?
A: Our nightly rates are set to fall within the published JBSA Randolph per diem lodging rate, which is designed to minimize out-of-pocket cost for travelers on orders. Final reimbursement depends on your orders and command policy. Contact us for current rates and a per diem comparison.
Q: Do you provide itemized receipts for reimbursement?
A: Yes, we provide itemized receipts at the end of each month that meet the documentation requirements of the Joint Travel Regulation (JTR) to support your reimbursement claim.
